Today, let’s talk BUSINESS.

I’ve been playing around with a new “offer” (as the kids call it), namely:

Helping solopreneurs develop, perform, and get paid for a workshop that also gets you leads, content, and more speaking opportunities.

I wanna tell you:

a) how I came up with his concept, and

b) why it’s been so powerful for my career.

Hopefully, this will inspire you to think about creating your own.

Ok, back to the show:

WTF is a “Signature Workshop,” Will?

Good question.

The first time I ever did mine in 2017, I had no idea what it would become.

I was asked to speak for a bunch of Founders & CEOs of $1M+ businesses for an organization called EO, and I had no idea what I was doing. (You can read more about that here).

Instead of LECTURING at them, I thought I should make it interactive (I had no idea this was called a “workshop” at the time.

Though I was totally inexperienced and underprepared, from that workshop I got:

• 2 invites to speak again (both in Dallas, weirdly enough)

• and a B2B client that ended up being worth about $5K

And from there, I’ve been invited to speak to EO in Houston, Connecticut, and do multiple online webinars and coaching contracts for their member companies.

I’ve also spoken for EO in multiple US cities, Mexico, and even Shanghai.

So what, Will, you weirdo?

(Man, you guys are mean sometimes.)

Since that first workshop, I’ve done:

• 60 in-person workshops of what I now call “The Powerful Pitch”

• God knows how many online versions

• Made about $500K in revenue lifetime from this workshop

• with a Net Promoter Score® of 80+ (this is considered “world class”).

Now:

Is $500K over 7 years enough to build the business of your dreams?

No.

BUT:

The Powerful Pitch Workshop has lead to so many clients, both corporate and individual, that it allowed me to scale my service-based company OutLoud to over $250K in revenue.

I’m just getting started, but it’s been a huge part of the success I’ve managed so far.
